Recap: “No on ACA7” Capitol Delegate Meetings on 5/11/2026

The “No on ACA 7” full-day tour at the Capitol started in the early morning hours on Monday.

Joined by many allies and supporters, CFER Executive Vice President Gail Heriot and Pacific Legal Foundation Attorney Andrew Quinio led discussions onACA 7 with senate staffers throughout the day.

Thanks to the organizing efforts byEqual Rights for All PAC (ERFA) Vice President Tony Guan, ERFA Board Member Eva Zhou and equal rights advocate Nan Zhong, our “No on ACA 7” delegation gathered a dynamic group.

We visited all of the senators offices during the whole day, and our meetings packed the halls and rooms in the Senate Office Building!

Our discussions and meetings addressed important issues including:

  • the vital role of Prop. 209 in ensuring equal protection
  • the threats to public education posed by ACA 7
  • the practical and strategic costs of perpetuating government preferences
  • the rising parents candidates running for offices to protect equal rights
  • the various organizations in opposition to ACA 7

Both senate and assembly were having session on the same day, so we have effectively demonstrated the strong wills of We the People against any racially charged discrimination bills (such as ACA 7).

Quite a few parents-turned-candidates attended this event. Also the KTSF26 reporters interviewed many of the participants and it was broadcast on TV and online the very next day.

As of today (5/29), the ACA7 bill is at the State Senate Education Committee. The committee will hear and vote on ACA 7 on Wednesday, June 3rd. It is very importnat that we voice our opposition against reenacting government preferences in education NOW!

The Equal Rights for All PAC has submitted our positional letter formally to the senate education committee.
