“Yes On 36” Yard Sign Project

(中文版:https://erfapac.com/yes36-cn)

Community safety is a top priority for Equal Rights for All PAC(erfapac.com, ERFA), and following its significant efforts in gathering petitions for Fix Prop 47 this year, ERFA’s “Yes on 36” Yard Sign Project aims to raise awareness about Proposition 36 on the November 2024 ballot. By increasing visibility and educating the public, the campaign encourages voters to make an informed decision and consciously vote “Yes” on Prop. 36 to support this important initiative. And this will be an independent expenditure to the “Yes on Prop 36 – Californians for Safer Communities”.

ERFA is now seeking targeted donations to fund the purchase of “Yes on Prop 36” yard signs, which will be distributed across the state, particularly in critical areas of Northern California. We need to raise a minimum of $8,000 to place the initial order for these signs. Once the signs are ready, we will be calling for volunteers to help deploy them statewide.

Please contribute any amount you feel comfortable with to join the unified effort to restore law and order in California by addressing the damage caused by Proposition 47 since 2014. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps strengthen our cause.

Proposition 36 on the 2024 ballot aims to reclassify certain misdemeanor theft and drug offenses as felonies, addressing the flaws of Proposition 47, which passed in 2014. The measure introduces a new category called a “treatment-mandated felony,” where individuals charged with these offenses can avoid prison time by completing a drug treatment program. However, failure to complete the program could result in a prison sentence of up to three years.

If passed by California voters, Proposition 36 would significantly reduce looting and vandalism, thereby enhancing community safety throughout the state. In addition to reducing crime, it would also contribute to the well-being of vulnerable populations by providing treatment options for non-violent offenders, helping them recover and reintegrate into society.
