If you’ve been following our efforts, you know We the People defeated Prop. 16 in 2020 and ACA-7 in 2024. However, in California, these racially discriminatory bills continue to resurface, requiring us to remain vigilant. Prop. 16 was rejected by a significant margin (57% to 43%) by voters in 2020, yet ACA-7 was introduced again in 2023. Although ACA-7 did not make it to the ballot in 2024 thanks to our strong opposition and effective campaigning, its author, Corey Jackson, has already vowed to push for it again!
“Is there a way to save all these years’ fights against one such bill after another?” You might wonder, wearily.
Yes there is one way to save us all these fights every year, which is to enforce accountability of elected representatives so they don’t play with our votes again and again. In this case, in 2024, we should make sure to defeat Corey Jackson, the author of ACA-7 bill and the co-author for AB1955 (Removing Parent Rights), from his re-election this year!
To achieve this goal, the Equal Rights for All PAC is excited to announce our 1:1 donation mach program to help our ERFA candidate Mr. Ronald Edwards for AD60. From Aug. 16 till Sept. 15, ERFA will match your donation with a total initial amount of $5,000 (*If you wish to further increase this upper limit you can also donate to ERFA PAC and we will bump it up accordingly)!
